Recently, Dr. Ma Zhengsheng, the founder of Shanghai Jiecon Chemicals Hi-Tech Co., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as "Shanghai Jiecon"), was interviewed in depth by Enterprise Observer, revealing for the first time the innovation code of China's leading brand of functional textile materials.

Since founding Shanghai Jiecon in 2005, this scientist and entrepreneur, who has been deeply rooted in the industry for two decades, has led his team to overcome technical challenges in the industry. He has applied for 25 invention patents, 33 utility model patents, and 1 PCT international invention patent. At present, it has obtained 16 authorized invention patents and 31 authorized utility model patents, and participated in the formulation of 12 national industry standards. Among them, the "Determination of Antiviral Activity of Textiles" led in its compilation has filled the domestic gap and become a technical benchmark in the industry.

 Twenty years have passed in the blink of an eye. Dr. Ma Zhengsheng has adhered to the long-termism philosophy, and Shanghai Jiecon has grown from an unknown start-up laboratory to an industry benchmark serving over 500 customers worldwide and winning two awards at the China International Industry Fair. With the power of technology, it has redefined the value connotation of "healthy textiles".

When Shanghai Jiecon was first established, Ma Zhengsheng jointly built a base for industry-university-research cooperation with his Alma mater, Donghua University and Shanghai University. Subsequently, a joint training base for professional doctoral degrees was established, funds were injected into the development fund of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Donghua University, and related achievements and patents were jointly developed and transformed, etc., to comprehensively and deeply integrate the scientific research resources of universities. As a doctoral supervisor at Donghua University and an off-campus supervisor for postgraduate students at several other universities, Ma Zhengsheng directly integrates the demands of enterprises into academic topics and often uses actual company cases to analyze technical pain points.

Under the leadership of Dr. Ma, the research team has been working hard for several years to develop a mature "Photocatalyst Multifunctional Treatment Agent" project. This project not only received support from the Shanghai Science and Technology-based Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Innovation Fund but also won the Excellent Product Award at the China International Industry Fair, achieving a win-win situation of academic value and market benefits.
